A TANGLED WEB: Sir Walter Scott once wrote: "Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." That quote came to mind as I considered this coming week and its complicated planetary aspects. As we begin the month of October, we will be navigating the effects of a fixed T-square, a tension-filled configuration in which Mars in theatrical Leo opposes Pluto in progressive Aquarius, with both planets square Mercury and Venus in truth-seeking Scorpio.
This T-square is one of the reasons I chose the title "Truth & Consequences" for this week's webinar; the immense pressure of the combined aspects could bring disclosures that result in major shifts in alliances and power structures. The challenges to relationships and financial systems could be the most obvious of the manifestations, given that both Venus and Pluto are at a virtual standstill and therefore have greater impact; Venus will station retrograde this Saturday, October 3, and Pluto stations direct on October 15.
That being said, it is the secrets that are revealed—or at least hinted at—that hold the key to the long-term effects of this week's T-square. The need to uncover what has been hidden can feel urgent, and the truth will be apparent to most; and yet some will have strong resistance to changing their perspectives, even when clear evidence is provided to the contrary. This tendency to one-track thinking, rigid opinions, and dogmatic attitudes is indicated by Mercury being at the apex of the configuration and in very tight squares to both Mars and Pluto.
Since the Messenger Planet also enters its "pre-retrograde shadow" this week, revelations brought forward by the T-square may be just the tip of an iceberg. We can expect more information to reveal itself over the course of the next two months, accompanied by much discussion and investigation, with resolution not reached until Mercury has completed its entire retrograde phase.

Sun trine Uranus: Exciting new ideas and inventive possibilities open up now. This harmonious aspect helps us be flexible and to break out of old mental patterns that may have been limiting our potentials.
Tuesday
Mercury trine North Node, Mercury opposite Chiron: Our minds are active and we may feel drawn to speak our truth in new ways; however, we may not completely trust our ability to reason through and communicate our ideas.
Wednesday
Mercury enters Scorpio: Due to going retrograde on October 24, Mercury will be in Scorpio for an extended period this year, from September 30 to December 6. During this time, the urge to know what is going on behind the scenes is strong, and we tend to dislike anything that is superficial. Communications are more honest and direct, yet not necessarily tactful. Our thinking is more instinctive than rational, and is strongly affected by our emotions. Words may be used to persuade or control, especially when Mercury is in hard aspect (such as it is for this week's T-square).
Thursday

Friday–Saturday
Mercury square Mars, Mercury square Pluto, Mars opposite Pluto: The fixed T-square is a powerful force during these two days, so we expect that conversations will be intense and hidden information will be exposed.
Mercury quincunx Neptune, Mars trine Neptune: These Neptune aspects add an interesting twist to the T-square energies. The Mercury-Neptune quincunx indicates a certain amount of confusion, or perhaps feelings of disillusionment or betrayal. At the same time, the Mars-Neptune trine can help us align our actions with our soul's guidance, and to embody the spiritual warrior in some area of our lives.
Saturday
Venus stations retrograde: Venus will appear to travel backwards through the heavens from October 3 to November 13. During this time, we have opportunities to revisit relationship or financial matters that have been unresolved. Essentially, this retrograde phase encourages us to reconsider what we truly value, so that our decisions in these areas are more aligned with our core truth going forward. It is common for past relationship issues to resurface when Venus is retrograde, either in physical form or through the dream state.
Sunday
Sun opposite Saturn: This aspect represents a reality check, and can be a time of reckoning. We may also be starkly aware of the process of dismantling that is occurring, especially in governments and in legal systems.
Mercury quincunx Uranus: The nervous system may be feeling the stress today, as our minds grapple with the many changes that are underway.
